The BIM Engineer will work alongside the construction project team to deliver the 3D coordination process on multiple projects from concept to completion.  An in-depth 3D analysis of building systems and components is necessary to ensure their fit within the project design.  The BIM Engineer provides constructability review, 3D coordination, clash resolution, and assists in all phases of a project – working with design and construction professionals.  Core competencies:  Understanding of building construction and sequencing, basic knowledge of structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and architectural systems, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, and related software, collaboration with both internal and external teams, generation of 3D views, drawings and visualizations, lift drawings and clash resolution, basic knowledge of local building code, laser scanning, generation of point files, conversion of 2D drawings to 3D models, and delivery of BIM as-builts.  Requirements:  BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture or 2 yrs of field experience.  Familiarity with Autodesk Revit Suite, ProLog Manager, Primavera Project Planner, or similar software.
